Electroacupuncture Improves Hormonal, Metabolic, and Inflammatory Markers in Obesity-Related PCOS — In a randomized controlled trial of 120 women with obesity-related polycystic ovary syndrome, electroacupuncture delivered three times weekly for 16 weeks produced significant reductions in luteinizing hormone, testosterone, fasting insulin, insulin resistance, and multiple inflammatory markers compared with sham acupuncture.
